We know we need a well aligned spine to exercise, but how can we feel what optimal alignment really feels like? Enter the SmartSpine
system. The SmartSpine is developed to ease the biomechanical
challenges of the spine during simple core exercises, requiring the use
of deep abdominals, while also simplifying teaching and cueing
techniques.
The SmartSpine System, created by master trainer
Marie-Jose Blom, consists of several support pieces designed to help
the body find it's most productive positioning. By supporting the
skeletal and joint system in alignment, the neural system is retrained
to recruit the deep muscles while releasing the overactive muscles.
This virtual coach is the next best thing to having a teacher's guiding
eye and touch at your constant disposal.
For the body,
"feeling is knowing". The SmartSpine creates the feeling for movement
potential, reintroducing the natural rhythm of movement ease and
fluidity. Taking the SmartSpine home is taking the tactile experience
home, and reliving it in the body without instructional support.
Components can be warmed in the microwave to help release muscles, and
the optional organic Lavender scent calms the mind and increases focus.
The SmartSpine will improve and guide movement through Pilates, Yoga,
Feldenkrais and other mind body practices.

Description
The Pilates Power Center is a contemporary 1,000 square foot facility located a quarter block south of Grand Avenue at 191 S. Oak Park, Suite 7, in the Oak Park Business Center in Grover Beach. The studio is across from Vons and just below China Buffet.
Pilates Power Center is a fully equipped Pilates studio using equipment originally designed by Joseph Pilates and updated by Balanced Body equipment company of Sacramento. We provide one of the most well equipped Pilates studios on the Central Coast. We have five studio Reformers, five Springboards, five EXO chairs, a full Trapeze table, Split Pedal Chair, ladder barrel and many small props including BOSUs, stability balls and bands.
We offer private sessions, semi-privates and an extensive class schedule including Mat, Reformer, and a variety of Apparatus classes.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
SmartSpine Works Co. LLC reserves the right to cancel this class due to an insufficient number of registrants. Under these circumstances, a full refund in the form of a check will be addressed and mailed to the registered participant. Please note that SmartSpine Works Co. LLC is not responsible for any hotel, airline or other expenses incurred.
All cancellations by registered participant must be dated and submitted in writing. For cancellations received 21 days or more before the class date, the registration fee will be returned less a $100.00 administrative fee. A refund in the form of a check will be mailed to the registered participant.
Within 21 days of the class, no refunds will be made. If the class is either interrupted or canceled by an act of nature, war, or any issue beyond the control of SmartSpine Works Co. LLC, no refund will be issued. SmartSpine Works Co. LLC reserves the right to change a course date, location or instructor.
