SmartCore Intensive incorporates/integrates 2 master courses taught by Marie-José Blom: Core Intelligence and SmartSpine. SmartCore Intensive combines the curriculum of the unparalleled Core Intelligence course with the SmartSpine intensive workshop. This winning two in one learning experience includes a comprehensive illustrated color manual, a certificate of completion and CEC's for the PMA and ACE. SmartCore Intensive course will elevate your knowledge to a higher level of your practical skills.

The SmartSpine System, created by master trainer Marie-Jose Blom, consists of The SmartSpine and several support pieces designed to help the body find its most productive positioning for learning and "connecting" (Core ability). By supporting the skeletal and joint system in alignment, the neural system is retrained to recruit the deep muscles while releasing or downtraining the overactive muscles. This virtual coach represents the next best thing to having a teacher's guiding eye and touch at your constant disposal. For the teacher or practitioner, SmartSpine becomes a "third hand" to guide or correct. As for the body, "feeling is knowing". The SmartSpine creates the feel for movement potential, while reintroducing the natural rhythm of movement ease and fluidity. Taking the SmartSpine home is, for the client/patient taking the tactile experience with them, and reliving it in the body without instructional support.

Components can be warmed in the microwave to deepen the experience and release muscles. The optional organic Lavender scent calms the mind and increases focus. The SmartSpine will improve and guide movement during rehabilitation, and with Pilates, Yoga, Feldenkrais and other mind body practices.

Get the client deeper into the core experience with an up-to-date presentation of core intelligence and reach a new level of teaching. SmartCore Intensive will cover the latest theories and principles of defining and reinforcing core and the technique applications to the stable torso in the functional movement environment. The Core Intelligence repertoire includes "the Sling Systems", a recently introduced body of work created by Marie-José Blom that enforces every aspect of the movement control and core challenge while delivering a true "Work-in".

This will be a hands-on course, with lecture, active participation and role playing as student and instructor. Traditional Pilates equipment will be used in some part of the course, but it will be prepared for use in other settings too. You do not have to work with Pilates to be able to attend and benefit from this course. If you do work with Pilates, SmartCore Intensive is a "must do" experience.
